Pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela
       The AECA has partnered with Pax Travel to offer an ecumenical pilgrimage to
       Santiago de Compostella, 17-22 April 2017. There is still just time to book for
       this. Please see further information towards the back of this issue, and also on
       the AECA website.

                            New Ecumenical Advisor

                                                    The Rev’d Dr Will Adam
                                                    is  to  take  up  the
                                                    combined     role   of
                                                    Ecumenical Advisor  to
                                                    the  Archbishop  of
                                                    Canterbur y       and
                                                    Ecumenical  Officer  at
                                                    the Council of  Christian
                                                    Unity.  Fr  Will,  who  is
                                                    currently  Vicar  of  the
                                                    Parish  of  St  Paul
                                                    Winchmore  Hill  in
                                                    London,  takes  up  his
       post  on  20  February  2017.  His  ecumenical  commitment  goes  back  to  his
       student  days  and  he  has,  over  the  years,  built  up  significant  experience  in
       relations between  Anglican  and  Orthodox,  Catholic and Protestant churches.
       His doctoral research focussed on the Orthodox concept of oikonomia and its
       western equivalents in canon law. He is a member of the Society for the Law of
       the  Eastern  Churches  and  has  recently published  an  article in  that society’s
       journal  Kanon  based  on  a  paper  given  in  Thessaloniki  in  2015  ‘Oikonomia,
       dispensation and aequitas in the law of the Church of England’.
